Welcome to Treks in Uttarakhand! These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website and services. By accessing this website and booking treks through our platform, you accept these terms and conditions in full. Please read them carefully before making any bookings.
1. General Terms
1.1. By using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1.2. All information on our website is subject to change without notice. We strive to ensure the accuracy of the information, but we do not guarantee its completeness or accuracy at all times.
1.3. Treks in Uttarakhand reserves the right to refuse service, cancel bookings, or terminate access to our website at any time without prior notice.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1. To book a trek, a deposit of ₹500 or ₹1000 (depends on Trek) must be paid at the time of booking.
2.2. The remaining balance must be paid in full at the trek start date. Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of your trek.
2.3. All payments must be made through the payment methods provided on our website or via bank transfer. Additional charges such as bank fees or service charges are the responsibility of the customer.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
If your trek gets called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rains, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, etc.) we will not refund your money. Instead of money, Walking The Himalayas will issue a trek voucher for the full amount. You can easily redeem that voucher for the same amount for any of the treks available at the same price. In case you wish to cancel your trek please email us at contact@treksinuttarakhand.com- Cancellation charges are based on the total trek fee, irrespective of the amount paid either full or partial.
- The cancellation policy ofis based on the origina Hello hikers booking time and the original start date of the trek.
- If you cancel a trek before 30 days of trek start date and get a full refund after deduction of 1.99% payment processing fee.
- If you cancel a trek before 15 days of the trek start date and get a refund after a deduction of 20% of the total trek fee.
- If you cancel a trek before 10 days of the trek start date and get a refund after a deduction of 40% of the total trek fee.
- If you cancel a trek before 5 days of the trek start date and get a refund after a deduction of 60% of the total trek fee.
- The Trek fee is non-refundable if you cancel within 4 days before the trek start date.
- In case of an incomplete trek due to weather conditions, you can opt for the same trek again throughout your lifetime on all our fixed departures for the same trek.
- This attempt only covers the trek fee and will not include any rentals or the transportation amount paid earlier.
- This is non-transferable.
4. Health and Fitness Requirements
4.1. All participants must ensure they are physically fit to undertake the chosen trek. Please consult a doctor if you have any medical conditions that may affect your ability to participate.
4.2. Treks in Uttarakhand will not be held liable for any injuries, health complications, or accidents occurring during the trek.
4.3. We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone deemed unfit for the trek.
5. Travel Insurance
5.1. Treks in Uttarakhand does not provide travel or health insurance.
5.2. It is strongly recommended that participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, accidents, and trip cancellations.
6. Safety and Responsibility
6.1. While we take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety, trekking involves inherent risks, including accidents, altitude sickness, and adverse weather conditions.
6.2. Participants must follow the instructions of the trek leader and adhere to all safety guidelines. Treks in Uttarakhand is not responsible for any injuries, loss, or damages caused by negligence or failure to comply with safety instructions.
6.3. All personal belongings are the responsibility of the participant. Treks in Uttarakhand is not liable for any loss or theft of personal items during the trek.
7. Changes to the Itinerary
7.1. The itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions, roadblocks, or other unforeseen circumstances. The trek leader has the authority to modify the trek route in the interest of safety.
7.2. Any changes to the itinerary will be communicated to participants as soon as possible.
8. Photography and Media
8.1. Treks in Uttarakhand may use photographs and videos taken during the trek for promotional purposes. By participating, you grant us permission to use these images unless explicitly stated otherwise.
8.2. If you do not wish to have your photographs used for promotional purposes, please inform us in writing before the trek begins.
9. Code of Conduct
9.1. All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner during the trek. Any behavior that endangers the group or disrupts the experience will result in the immediate removal of the participant from the trek.
9.2. Participants must respect the local environment, wildlife, and communities encountered during the trek. Littering, vandalism, or disrespecting local culture and traditions will not be tolerated.
10. Force Majeure
10.1. Treks in Uttarakhand shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations if such failure is caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, wars, or government restrictions.
11. Governing Law
11.1. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
11.2. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
By booking with Treks in Uttarakhand, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
