CHOPTA CHANDRASHILLA TREK
The Chopta Chandrashila Trek is an all-season trek that offers something unique in every part of the year. During summer, the trail is adorned with lush green meadows, vibrant rhododendron blooms, and a variety of bird species, making it a paradise for nature lovers and bird watchers. Trekking through snow-capped forests and frozen meadows adds an adventurous twist, making it an ideal option for those seeking winter thrills.
The Chopta Chandrashilla Trek begins from the small hamlet of Chopta, which itself is a charming and quiet place surrounded by dense forests. As you ascend towards Tungnath, the trail gradually opens up, providing stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Tungnath, apart from its religious significance, also offers an incredible viewpoint. The final push to Chandrashila summit is steep but rewarding. From the top, the panoramic views of the Garhwal and Kumaon ranges make every effort worthwhile. It’s a spiritual, scenic, and adventurous experience all rolled into one.
